These drains help keep foundations dry, basements dry and help stop water problems before they occur and will ususally solve most foundation problems.
Adding underground drain tiles to your home will move water away from your foundation and basement. This is not simply a piece of pipe that runs out on the yard. That is nothing but an eye sore. The water from these extensions simply travels back underground to the foundation. Do it right! Install Underground Drain Tiles from the downspouts to the street. That's why the city installed Storm Drains in the curb and street.
Gutters and Downspouts are must to help collect the water run-off from your roof. Keep them clean and free of debris.
The Sump Pump is needed to collect the water under your foundation and basement floor. The water is pumped up and out of the area to the DOWNSPOUT DRAIN TILE that leads from the downspout underground to the street or strom drain.
A FRENCH DRAIN (Gravel and perforated pipe) should not be used to discharge water. This system is best used to collect water from a low spot inthe yard.

This system of catch basins, gravel and perfotated pipe works well for low spots in the yard. The install of this system is labor intense, but the results are very good. |
